Friends, donuts, and folding zines!
The first batch of ward-by-ward election zines are folded and ready for distribution, with some already on their way to wards across the city.
We hosted a zine folding party at Cre:8 on Saturday, September 19, 2026 and got to work folding approximately 50 copies of each ward zine. That's around 1200 sheets of paper folded into 1200 zines!
The turnout was so amazing and a few folks brought snacks to share with the group and keep us nourished while we worked. Everyone was so generous with their time and we stretched our two-hour time slot a little bit further into the afternoon.
Four of cover artists--Claudia, Loren, Lacey, and Breanna--also joined and got to see their work in print!
Now that we have so many zines printed and folded, we're distributing them across the city, aiming to send some of each ward to their rightful home! That's at least 24 drop off points and some are already on their way.
